The CIDI has nothing against this, on the contrary, says Pennewaard. “If the university wants to organize something about the Palestinian conflict, there must be room for that,” she says. “But not instead of this series of Holocaust lectures. The HU is really sending the wrong signal.” CIDI also states that it was not involved in the content of the lectures. “We have asked scientists to contribute, but they can decide for themselves what they say in terms of content. We have only used our network.”
