Christmas is only a month and a half away, and yet the question of gifts is already on your children’s minds. How to make your purchases without hassle and with peace of mind? There would be a timing to respect, here is what it is.
That’s it, the catalogs are in the mailboxes and your dear children already have an idea of what they would like to see under the tree! But for parents, another period is beginning: one where the hunt for gifts begins for the most far-sighted and which will continue until Christmas Eve for others. When should you buy your gifts to avoid stress? The JouéClub brand, familiar with the question, gives its expert opinion.
As soon as the list is ready, preferably in November
Why wait until the last moment? If your children are already specific about their wishes, and the Santa list is ready, get started! This is the best way to ensure that all the toys you want will be under the tree.
In addition, in November, families benefit from the first promotions and maximum availability for trendy toys. In store, the experience is also more pleasant, and much less crowded, and the teams are more available to advise you.
November is also the month of Black Friday (which this year falls on November 29), a day during which brands offer additional offers, often on toys that do not appear in the Christmas catalogs. ““It’s the perfect time to get some great deals, whether for birthday gifts or other occasions.” advises JouéClub.
December, increasing stress
Many of us, on the other hand, wait until December to start the race for gifts. But according to the brand, this is a bad calculation (if you can help it).
“At this time, catalogs are reaching the end of their validity, store traffic increases sharply and temporary shortages begin to appear for the most sought-after toys.”
At the start of the month prices remain generally stable, and a few new promotions are launched, but a second visit to the store may be necessary to complete your list.
On the other hand, from December 15: last races, a large crowd is expected and stocks become thinner. “The ten days preceding Christmas mark the peak of in-store traffic, week 50 in the territories and week 51 in large cities, including Paris and Ile de France. Trendy products may be out of stock, it’s a race for toys!”, underlines the sign.
Finally, JouéClub’s advice: To benefit from an optimal purchasing experience, both in terms of choice and comfort, the ideal period this year is between November 4 and December 1.
