With the holidays approaching, you may have anticipated the rush of the last few days in the stores and have already bought the gifts intended for the children. You may not have seen it, but the Rappel Conso site recommends bringing these three toys back to where you bought them… We’re taking stock.

At Christmas, most children are spoiled: trucks, dolls, garages, toy cars… There will be something for everyone under the tree. Be careful, however, if you have purchased the following toys, you will have to return to the store.

    A non-compliant baby carrier

The Rappel Conso site echoes toys to bring back to the store. The first is a baby carrier, “Porteur bb” pink or red with black wheels, from the Petit Génie brand. It was sold in Gifi stores, throughout France, until December 6th. This toy bears the reference 572817 and the barcode 3491955728175.

The Recall conso site details the recall procedure and mentions a standard (EN 71-1) that the toy does not respect. It can therefore cause accidents for children, in particular falls or entrapment of fingers. Gifi stores are offering a refund to everyone who purchased the toy. If this is your case, you can find out more by calling customer service on 05 53 40 54 54.

    Recalled wooden toys

    An activity cube

The other two recalls concern wooden toys sold at Carrefour, throughout France. These are games from the My Wooden brand, a “wooden activity cube”, with the reference TY127612 and the barcode 3616475763110. This toy was marketed between September 1 and November 25, 2022. It has been decided to recall due to risk of injury to children due to splinters present.

    A coffee machine

The other toy is a wooden coffee machine, also sold on the shelves of Carrefour de France between September 1 and November 25. For this toy, whose reference is TY127530 and barcode 3616475762748, its upper part can detach and create a small element likely to be swallowed by toddlers. Due to this choking hazard, the toy is therefore being recalled. Be careful not to offer these toys to children, if you have them, but rather to bring them back to the store. The Carrefour brand offers a refund to all people who bring the toy back to the store and has given a telephone number to contact consumer service for more information, on 0 805 90 00 22, Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
