It was last week that the French employees of the aircraft company were to enjoy a Christmas dinner.
On Friday, it turned out that the staff dinner had instead turned into a nightmare, just days before Christmas.
The French health authority states that over 700 employees from the company’s operations in western France had suffered from vomiting and diarrhea.
Airbus Atlantic is a subsidiary of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer Airbus, and has 15,000 employees in five countries, according to the BBC.
The company tells AFP that an investigation has been launched to find the source of the food poisoning.
It is unclear what was served on the Christmas table.
