Liv and her classmates from the school in Tärnaby quickly gathered around the stand with the magic crystal, which is one of the items that has an important role in the 2024 Christmas calendar.
– We have Tjelmetje, we have the faamoe-voessen (power bag) that Ristin got in Saajvoe. There are not many objects, but they are important, says Oskar Östergren Njajta, director of the cultural center Aejlies.

The reason why the audience magnets are exhibited there is that Oskar Östergren Njajta is also one of the screenwriters of this year’s Christmas calendar Snow dreams. He says that the idea from the beginning was that the action would take place around Laxfjället and Tärnaby, but it was later changed to the fictional Gavmofjäll – which does not get any snow this year because the magical crystal has been stolen.
That is not the case in Tärnaby – there the snow has poured down.
– Some people come to us and say “can’t you return that crystal”. They have had enough, says Oskar Östergren Njajta with a laugh.
