Thor 4: Love and Thunder looks like a Marvel movie that leaves nothing to be desired. Not only do we get to face two Thors at once. The Guardians of the Galaxy also make a detour into the MCU sequels, while the Greek world of gods also plays a decisive role in addition to the Nordic world.
Joining them is Christian Bale as the sinister villain Gorr the Godslayer. However, as the actor revealed at the Thor 4 press conference, we don’t get to see a special scene with his character. The reason for this is simple: it was never filmed, even though it sounds fantastic.
Thor 4: Christian Bale and Taika Waititi wanted to shoot a dance scene to Kate Bush’s music
In Thor 4, Gorr was not only supposed to be up to mischief as a god-slaying rabid. Bale and director Taika Waititi also toyed with the idea of the villains a dance scene to the music of Kate Bush.
Above [die Tanzszene] have Taika [Waititi] and I spoke, maybe only whispered. ‘Would we ever find half a day to do a Gorr Dance?’ We are both great admirers of Kate Bush. Ultimately, however, the scene stayed in our heads. We realized that they would probably never make it into the film.
Hope dies last. “We should probably just shoot them over a weekend”, Waititi joked at the press conference. Co-star Tessa Thompson agreed: “We should shoot them right now.” Bale and Waititi are definitely there not alone with her wish after a dance scene to Kate Bush.

Thanks to the prominent use of Running Up That Hill in Stranger Things, Bush happens to have an unexpected career high anyway. In the MCU, Eternals recently came up with a dance scene. If we look at all the Marvel movies from the recent past, we can’t forget Matt Smith’s dance routine in Morbius, arguably one of the more memorable moments of the film.
Thor 4: Love and Thunder launches on July 6, 2022 in the cinema.
