ChristenUnie increasingly has women at the top They just happen

Utrecht – The ChristenUnie writes history as the first party ever to have a woman at the helm on four national fronts. Today former House of Representatives party leader Gert-Jan Segers hands over the gavel to party member Mirjam Bikker. This means that the party now has a woman at the head of the Senate, the House of Representatives, the cabinet and the party board. And it doesn’t stop there, there are also more and more women in chair positions at regional and local level. “It has never been a goal in itself for us, they just happen to be the best candidates,” says ChristenUnie party chairman Daphne van der Wind from Woerden.
