Allegedly, money was blackmailed from CHP Provincial Assembly Member Burhanettin Çakır over obscene images of his video call with a woman. Thereupon, Burhanettin Çakır went to the security forces and filed a complaint. After the debates in the public, Burhanettin Çakır resigned from both his membership in the provincial council and his party.
“CERTAINLY THE FRIEND WHO CONTRIBUTED IS WRONG”
Speaking to İHA after what happened, CHP Çaycuma District President Şeref Köktürk said that Çakır was conspired in the virtual environment. Stating that Çakır resigned from both the provincial council and the party membership, Köktürk said:
“We are sorry to see that there are news in the local press that contain a lot of false information about the party who was conspired in the virtual environment and asked for money with threats. What happened is in a way that can happen to every individual and has the quality of a lesson. I also call my citizens from here, from numbers they do not know on social networks in the virtual environment. “The reason is that they do not answer live video calls. Because different traps can be set up from here. The friend who was subjected to this conspiracy is of course wrong. He saw the compensation for his mistake by leaving the Provincial Assembly and party membership. We have nothing to say other than that. He has no ties to the CHP at the moment.”
