During questioning, the woman has claimed that she abused drugs and that “another person” manipulated her to carry out the act. But a forensic psychiatric examination showed that she did not suffer from any mental disorder and the district court dismisses the motive as an afterthought.
It was on March 30 this year that the woman went to attack and dealt several blows to another woman who was standing at the checkout in the grocery store. The victim received deep wounds and injured his back, but the injuries were not life-threatening.
On the way out of the grocery store, the woman also attacked a man and stabbed him in the arm and threatened to kill a father and his children.
Kalmar District Court states that the intention of the attack in the grocery store was to kill the victim. The woman is also convicted of attempted aggravated assault and paying damages to the victims.
