Are you desperately looking for the icon of software in the Windows taskbar? A few clicks are enough to display it permanently in the notification area.
The taskbar is a very important component of Windows. Located by default at the bottom of the screen permanently – settings allow you to change your layout and hide it intermittently, see our practical sheet – it hosts a host of elements to keep in front of her, and, above all, at the immediate range of mouse. In particular, there are the Start button on the left, follow -up of the applications that you have pinned (web browser, multimedia player, word processor, etc.) to launch them with a click.
But the right part is just as useful. This is where the so -called notification area sits, which displays the icons of certain programs and parameters, such as those linked to the network, food, audio or antivirus. In short, applications that work permanently, in rear-plan, and which it is practical to be able to access at any time, without having to travel menus and windows.
However, as the place is counted, Windows displays only a certain number and masks others in a small local menu symbolized by a mini arrow. This is enough to click on this arrow to display the menu and see the hidden icons.

Fortunately, it is quite possible to choose the icons to be displayed permanently, and even to display them all, if that is your wish!
- Right click on the button To start up and, in the menu that appears, click on Parameters.

- The window Windows settings appears. Click on the section Personalization.

- The content of the window changes. In the left column, click on Taskbar.
- Then scroll the contents of the right to reach the section Notification area.

- Then click on Choose the icons to display in the taskbar
- The content of the window changes. This time, you see the list of icons available in the notification area (power supply, volume, network, etc.).

- Each icon is associated with a switch. Slide it in one direction or the other to activate or deactivate the display of the corresponding icon in the notification area. The icons that you have chosen to activate will appear permanently in the notification area. But the others will always be accessible via the mini menu.

- If you want to display all the available icons, just activate the switch Always display all icons in the notification area. Please note, this option naturally takes up more space in the taskbar! It’s up to you to see …
