Chamber choir Sophia mainly sings Ukrainian classical music, but also folk music, more pop-like songs. “Music is crucial, especially in times of war,” said Oleksiy Shamritsky, director of the Kyiv choir. “People in Ukraine feel the war every day, but with this music you feel peace in your heart. There has just been another bombing, but with this benefit project we bring something positive. Good news is very important now.”
