Chinese President Xi Jingping commented on the war in Ukraine during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Hungary.

According to Xi, China’s attention is now on calming the situation, so that conditions could be created with the international community in which Russia and Ukraine could once again start one-on-one negotiations.
According to Xi, the leading superpowers should use “positive energy instead of negative energy” on the issue.
Xi commented on the matter in Beijing, where the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is paying a surprise visit. Orban described his visit as “Peace mission number 3”.
