China’s economy grew by 4.6 percent in the third quarter of the year, the country’s statistical office says.
The growth fell short of the five percent target set by China. In the previous quarter, the growth was 4.7 percent.
According to the Chinese Bureau of Statistics, the economy was generally stable and developing steadily.
China has recently announced several measures to strengthen the economy. The economy is especially troubled by low consumer confidence and a tight real estate market.
