NATO should not “provoke a confrontation” with China over its relationship with Russia, a spokesperson for Beijing’s EU envoy said in a statement on Thursday.

The statement comes after NATO presented its declaration at the ongoing summit in Washington, where China is mentioned in critical terms.

The defense alliance writes, among other things, that the partnership with Moscow is cause for “deep concern”.

According to the statement from Beijing, NATO must “stop fueling the so-called China threat and provoking confrontation and rivalry.” NATO should, according to China, instead do more to contribute to world peace and stability.

Democratic Senator Peter Welch believes that Joe Biden should step down, he writes in a debate post in the Washington Post.

The pressure on the US president is increasing and a press conference on Thursday could be decisive.

“We cannot ignore President Biden’s disastrous debate performance. We cannot ignore the legitimate questions that have been raised since that night,” Welch writes.

He thus becomes the first of the Democratic senators to explicitly call on Biden to end his bid for re-election. His colleague and party friend, Senator Michael Bennet, said Wednesday night that Biden risks a “crushing” defeat if he faces Trump.

On Thursday, Biden will hold a press conference and answer journalists’ questions in connection with the NATO summit in Washington, an event that political analysts predict could be aSee more

Ukraine is to receive military support for the equivalent of 40 billion euros. This is evident from the final declaration from the NATO meeting. However, you will have to wait for a formal invitation to the defense alliance.

Already during day two of three meeting days, the declaration was presented, however without any major surprises regarding the content. The financial support to Ukraine was what was previously talked about, i.e. the equivalent of approximately SEK 450 billion in support in the war against Russia.

However, this agreement was written in one year, unlike the proposal that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg previously launched for a five-year support.
