The People’s Republic of China will unveil stealth aircraft and attack drones at the Zhuhai Airshow, which opens this Tuesday, November 12 in southeast China. All eyes, especially those of experts and rival powers of the Chinawill be riveted on the J-35A. At first glance, the Shenyang looks like the American F35, but with clear differences in the air intakes and landing gear positioning. A highly anticipated device, since it arises from the FC-31 demonstrator program, launched more than 20 years ago.

Its presence at the Chinese air show could mean the plane is almost coming of age. If the aircraft is admitted to active service, China would then be the second country in the world, after the UNITED STATESto have two stealth aircraft within its squadrons.

Above all, the Shenyang seems to have been designed to be navalized. Experts believe that the device could be equipped with an Emals system, intended for the electromagnetic catapults of the most modern aircraft carriers, like the Fujian, the largest ship in the Chinese fleet which, last spring, started its sea trials. With the J-35A on its deck, it would constitute the spearhead of the People’s Liberation Army off the coast of China.
