China’s duties apply to rapeseed oil, peas and some desserts.
China sets punishment for many Canadian agricultural products. The duties will enter into force on 20 March.
On top of previously valid customs, China is now setting a hundred percent Customs for Canadian rapeseed oil, peas and some dessert products.
The new 25 % additional duty will be assigned to seafood and pork imported from Canada.
China’s actions are a counter-draw for those set up by Canada, the US and the EU in October, which concerned Chinese electric cars and steel and aluminum products. The Chinese state was said to give these products a price subsidy that violates international commercial law.
