According to South Korea, there is an over-interpretation in the China’s announcement against the US customs.
Chinese state television says China, Japan and South Korea would jointly match the US president Donald Trump duties prescribed.
The announcement came after Sunday had held the first joint financial negotiations on Sunday to confirm regional trade.
Japan and South Korea want to bring minerals used for semiconductors from China. China, on the other hand, is interested in Japanese and South Korean chips.
According to China, three countries agreed on continuing discussions to eliminate the obstacles between foreign trade and to cooperate in distribution networks.
The countries also intend to accelerate negotiations on their mutual trade agreement.
However, according to Reuters, a spokeswoman for the South Korean Ministry of Commerce, says China’s interpretation of the joint front against US customs is somewhat overlooked by Chinese. The Japan Foreign Ministry did not comment on China’s view.
Trump is scheduled to announce the entry into force of the new customs on Wednesday, which he calls the “day of release”. On Monday, Trump said he would be “very friendly” to his trading partners when he announces the duties.
