(Finance) – Contrasting numbers come from the PMI data from China compiled by the government of Beijing and compiled by Caixin/S&P Global Manufacturing PMI.
THE government data they highlighted that the manufacturing PMI indexrelating to the month of June, contracted for the second consecutive month, to 49.5 points, while the Non-manufacturing PMI remained in the expansion phase (50.5 points), albeit at a slower pace than the previous reading (51.1).
As drawn up by Caixin-S&Pthe index PMI manufacturing it rose to 51.8 points in June, better than the estimated 51.5 points and compared to 51.7 in April.
It should be noted that the official PMI compiled by the Beijing government takes into account the trend of large companies and state-controlled companies, while the Caixin index refers to small and medium-sized Chinese enterprises.
