In the space of 72 hours, at least 16 people have been shot dead in different locations in and around the Chilean capital. In two cases, they were homicides with multiple victims, including minors. The youngest was 13 years old. Authorities and experts believe that these cases are independent of each other but linked to the organized crime that is gaining ground in the country.
