All patients in a ward at the children’s cancer center at Queen Silvia’s Children’s Hospital in Gothenburg are being moved. The reason is that mold has been discovered in several of the rooms, reports SVT Nyheter Väst.

– I can confirm that it is correct, we have evacuated the entire department, says Ingrid Fredriksson at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital press service, to SVT.

The affected ward is in the newly built part of the hospital. The reason for the mold must be an incorrectly assembled refrigerator, according to information to SVT.

The evacuation is expected to last three months.
