It was shortly after 7.30 pm on Friday that the police received the drowning alarm via SOS. Ambulance and rescue services were also alerted to the address of a town in Hallsberg municipality.
– This is a younger child who has fallen into a pool, says Peter Persson, duty officer at the Bergslagen police region.
In other respects, the police’s information is scarce about the damage situation and what has happened. The child must have been alive when it was taken to hospital, Peter Persson states at the police.
– Of course, the police will investigate what has happened, he says.
Are there any criminal suspicions linked to the incident?
– Not as we know it now. We’re going to investigate this.
