Yes. Richard Herrey and his two brothers Per Herrey and Louis Herrey started the band Herrey’s. Their breakthrough came when the brothers participated in Melodifestivalen with the song “Diggi-loo diggi-ley” in 1984.
In 2024, it will be 40 years since the brothers made their debut and participated in the music competition.
Per is the oldest of the brothers and currently works as a corporate lawyer in the Västra Götaland region. After the Melodifestivalen, he has written several songs, such as “Någon att älska”, according to Female.

Richard Herrey’s wife’s name is Marie Herrey. She was born on January 28, 1968. This means that she will turn 57 in 2025.
Since 2022, Marie has worked as CEO for Ice hotel in Jukkasjärvi, according to Today’s industry. The couple is listed on the house in Saltsjöbaden, but it seems that they live separately from time to time, as Marie works in Jukkasjärvi.
Is Richard Herrey Mormon?
Richard and his brothers Per and Louis grew up in a family as active Mormons, according to Female. However, it is not a religion that Richard practices today.
Before success as an artist, a 19-year-old Richard planned to go out into the world as a volunteer missionary, something his brothers had already done.

Little brother Louis, on the other hand, is still an active Mormon. He has also been a bishop within the “Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints” in Södertälje. Louis is today head of school at the church’s educational activities, and works as a teacher.

Is Richard Herrey a politician?
Richard Herrey is active as a Moderate municipal politician in Nacka. He was previously a regular Member of Parliament for a short period in 2022, but lost his seat after the election, according to Today’s news.
When Richard did his first interview as a parliamentary candidate, he spoke The Express that he had never previously been a member of any political party, nor always voted for the Moderates.
– But I have always voted bourgeois. I joined the party about a month ago, he told the newspaper in 2017.

Richard has, among other things, appeared in several different musicals. Between the years 1997–1998, he also ran The Oscar Theater in Stockholm together with his wife Marie Herrey.

He has, among other things, worked in the music industry, been a politician, site manager at Hard Rock Cafe and radio announcer on, among other things Swedens radio. Richard has also participated in programs such as Let’s Dance.
Today he is CEO of the cultural center Aurora in Kiruna and is active as a radio announcer on Bauer Media.
In connection with Eurovision 2024, Richard and his brothers will perform in Folkets park in Malmö.
