Seven people, including an infant and its parents, have been killed in attacks in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine, according to Ukrainian officials.
“A husband, wife and their 23-day-old daughter were killed by enemy artillery fire,” according to Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko. Their twelve-year-old son was injured and later died in hospital.
Kherson was one of the four regions that Russian President Putin claimed to have annexed last fall. At the end of the year, Russian troops withdrew from the city of Kherson, but attacks in the area have continued.
