    A platform to inform about pediatric cancer, both in children, adolescents and young adults has been set up. It makes it possible to answer the questions of each user profile, regardless of age and profession.

    On the occasion of International Childhood Cancer Day on February 15, the National Cancer Institute developed and put online with the collective associations Grandir sans cancer, Gravir and UNAPECLE, the site pediatrie.e-cancer.fr.

    This platform makes it possible to provide all the information about childhood, adolescent and young adult cancers. It is accessible to all and mainly dedicated to parents, children, young adults, health professionals and researchers.

    Answer questions and support

    Objective: to answer the questions of each user profile, “contribute to supporting patients and their parents in the course of care”; “provide up-to-date, complete and understandable information” ; “make visible the actions carried out and to come in the field of pediatric oncology research, and promote collaboration between researchers”.

    Several features are also available, including an interactive map of associations, information sites and 47 establishments authorized in pediatric oncology, but also a dictionary, frequently asked questions and additional resources.

    “The Institute recalls that the diagnosis of cancer is made each year for 2,200 children aged 0 to 17” can we read in the press release from the National Cancer Institute. “While the 5-year survival rate, often synonymous with recovery, now exceeds 80%, we still have to do better. In addition, two thirds of the children who survived have sequelae from their treatment. all against these cancers is at the heart of the actions of the ten-year strategy 2021-2030”.
