A child was judged to have been seriously injured after a truck drove into five cars on Kungsholmen in Stockholm, the police say.
The accident happened at 2 pm and the child has been taken to hospital.
– It seems that the lorry driver suffered a case of illness, says Ola Österling, press spokesperson at the police.
When the police arrived at the scene, the injured child had already been transported to hospital in an ambulance. Sos Alarm has informed the police that the damage is considered serious.
– The child was in the car in front of the truck when the accident occurred, says Ola Österling.
An adult was also slightly injured and taken to hospital by ambulance.
– It is the truck driver who was injured, says Ola Österling.
The accident has affected traffic and salvage work is underway. The police do not suspect any crime in connection with the incident.
