Child hit by shrapnel during shooting

“The child did not need to go to hospital,” says police spokesperson Ola Österling.

The police were alerted to a suspicious shooting on Friday afternoon.

Later in the day, a bullet was found inside a home. According to the police, the bullet had gone through a wall and hit something made of glass, the shards of which then hit the child.

“We don’t know who the bullet was intended for,” says Ola Österling.

The shooting is classified as attempted murder and aggravated weapons offences. No suspect has been arrested.
