(Finance) – The Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni received the Mayor of Amatrice, Giorgio Cortellesi, today at Palazzo Chigi. Palazzo Chigi announced the news in a note explaining that during the meeting, a few days after the eighth anniversary of the earthquake in Central Italy, President Meloni renewed to the mayor the Government’s commitment to complete the reconstruction and to restore safety and development to the territories hit by the earthquake.
The Prime Minister reiterated that the economic and social rebirth of the central Apennines is an absolute priority of the Executive and that the contribution of the Mayors and local institutions is essential to achieve this goal. Mayor Cortellesi thanked President Meloni for having responded quickly to the request for a meeting, for the touching message addressed on the occasion of the anniversary of August 24, 2016 and for the commitment shown by the Government. The mayor of Amatrice also illustrated a series of proposals to support the reconstruction and development of the territory”.
