We begin this itinerary by exploring the Loop, Chicago’s business district, bordered to the north and west by the Chicago River, to the east by Lake Michigan and to the south by the Roosevelt Road. The district owes its name to the “loop” of the EL, the legendary aerial metro that runs through the city center. Home to the very first skyscraper in the world, the Loop is home to many historic buildings. One must for architecture lovers!
