One of the Chinese automobile giants also present in Turkey Cheryconducted a triple crash test with its electric vehicle named Exeed Sterra ES.
Electric sedan Exeed Sterra ES, which came to life under the umbrella of Chery, came to the fore with a special crash test today. Within the scope of this test, the company used a total of three different Sterra ES, and the vehicle placed in the center was hit by other vehicles coming from both sides at a speed of 60 km per hour. One of the vehicles hit the right front corner at a 30-degree angle, while the other hit the passenger side directly at a 180-degree angle. The company, which simulated a specific accident situation within the scope of this test, was extremely satisfied with the result. The accident focused especially on the middle vehicle, and even as a result of the double impact, the Exeed Sterra ES model in the middle managed to protect the passengers inside. The vehicle, which maintained its structural integrity despite being exposed to a force approaching 35 tons, automatically deployed all seven airbags and the door locks (the door handles were also out) at the time of the accident.
