The flowering of cherry trees is the case of the year, especially in Japan. This year, the case is even bigger than usual, as pandemic restrictions were relaxed in Tokyo and other cities last week.
In keeping with ancient traditions, the Japanese gather for an outdoor picnic to meet their relatives and friends. However, the authorities urge the townspeople to still avoid large crowds.
