G7 leaders met in Brussels, the capital of Belgium. In a joint statement made after the meeting, the leaders of the G7 countries openly warned Russia against the threat of the use of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons and their derivatives. In the statement, the allegations made by Russia that Ukraine is preparing to use chemical or nuclear weapons were described as disinformation and condemned.
CHINA’S PLANS MENTIONED OVER HIDDEN
While implicitly mentioned in the statement, China’s plans to provide military and financial aid to Russia, it was stated that the G7 countries were in agreement to apply similar restrictions to countries that took supportive and preventive activities in order to reduce the impact of the sanctions imposed on Russia.
In the statement, it was stated that the G7 countries were concerned about this situation, referring to the repression regime that the Russian administration used by force against its own people and whose effectiveness was increasing day by day.
G7 leaders also argued that Russia should not be represented in international organizations after that, although they did not openly express an opinion on Russia’s remaining in the G20. (UAV)
