According to the municipality of Eskilstuna, a couple has systematically acted in a misleading manner regarding their household finances in order to receive support. The man and the woman are now being reported to the police and over SEK 250,000 is being demanded, reports Eskilstuna-Kuriren.
Since August 2020, the couple has applied for support on 18 occasions.
The municipality’s investigation shows, among other things, that large amounts have been transferred to accounts at a foreign bank, while current expenses have been missing from the account statements.
