Cheater becomes #1 in Apex Legends, viewers up 2120% until he gets banned live

In the shooter Apex Legends stood with facility apparently someone at the top of the leaderboard on PC who didn’t deserve the spot. He benefited from his fame and was able to increase his number of viewers on Twitch from 15 to 333 at the top. But after another Twitch streamer accused him of cheating, it sparked anger in the community and a quick ban.

This is how the viewer numbers of the streamer have exploded:

  • Twitch streamer Facilitatur has had a meteoric career
  • A month ago he only had about 15 viewers at peak when playing Apex Legends
  • But when he reached #1 on the PC leaderboard, his Twitch viewership skyrocketed. 333 people watched him at the top.
  • Apex Legends is considered one of the best shooters in the world:

Major Twitch streamer accuses him of cheating

That was the accusation: “HisWattson” is one of the biggest Twitch streamers on Apex Legends, worldwide he is number 4.

HisWattson ratted out No. 1 on August 22: He said he’d been caught cheating 3 times before. Surely he would cheat the 4th time too.

He himself had often played against the guy and could not catch him from behind or surprise him in any other way. The guy always knows you’re coming.

It is clear to him that the number 1 in the leaderboard is cheating. It can’t seriously be the case that someone like that is left in first place.

#1 cheaters are stealing money and fame from honest players

Why was it so important to rat him out? HisWattson says: Rank 1 is extremely valuable for Twitch streamers. If someone cheated their way to rank 1 they would be taking money/fame and subs from the honest players who really deserve it.

Rank 1 would be “life changing” for the top players:

  • When he was rank 2, he went from 10 to 200 viewers.
  • When he ranked #1, he went from 800 viewers to 1,000.
  • However, he was later stripped of his rank by a cheater. Now he’s sorry to see that other players feel the same way, working their way up and then being robbed of their success.

This was the reaction: The ban came live in a game on August 23. As the site Dotesports writes, HisWattson’s Twitter post had generated so much resonance that Apex Legends apparently had to act.

The whole thing was also so delicate because the player was already in first place and had been convicted of cheating at the time.

This is behind it: You can see that there are different ways to be successful on Twitch. Apparently there’s something to be said for being “the best” at Shooter if everyone knows it.

But that should be done honestly.

Because currently it has streamed out for the former number 1 in Apex Legends: Facilitatur has not been live since the ban.
