Cheat codes and how to use them

Baldur’s Gate 3 seems to be one of the best games of the year, which successfully heaves many old virtues into the modern age. A special mechanism are cheat codes in the game. You can see how you use them and which ones are available here.

How to use the cheat codes? There are two methods to use cheat codes in Baldur’s Gate 3.

  • Installed Divinity Engine 4.0, then you can type console commands.
  • Uses the ReCon small remote utility to send console commands. For this you have to go to the editor in the Divine Engine installation folder and while in the editor press CTRL+Shift+F11.

    Baldur’s Gate 3 console command codes

    You can press CTRL+Tab to type in console commands. First you type in CLUAConsole:EnableCheatKeys(). Then you can enter a cheat and confirm with Enter. You can type the following with this method:

  • CTRL+1: Changes the Paper Doll’s armor type
  • CTRL+2: Makes the screen darker
  • CTRL+3: Brightens the screen
  • CTRL+4: Shows you objects you can interact with
  • CTRL+6: Switches to the previous Paper Doll
  • CTRL+7: Switches to the next Paper Doll
  • CTRL+8: Shows you text boxes
  • CTRL+9: Shows sprites
  • CTRL+A: Animates sprites
  • CTRL+B: Shows you the last cutscene
  • CTRL+C: Goes to the next chapter
  • CTRL+D: Debug Dump
  • CTRL+F: Turns to character
  • CTRL+J: Jumps to the location at the cursor
  • CTRL+L: Shows the coordinates at the cursor
  • CTRL+R: Heals the character at the cursor
  • CTRL+S: Selects a sprite animation
  • CTRL+X: Shows you the position info
  • CTRL+Y: Kills the character at the cursor
  • Baldur’s Gate 3 cheats for the ReCon Small Remote Utility

    These are the cheat codes that you can use through the ReCon Small Utility through the editor in the installation folder.

  • killcombat: Kill all enemies in the current battle
  • peace on/off: Activates or deactivates the peace mode
  • god: Activates or deactivates the God mode
  • resurrect: Revives the currently selected character
  • nocooldowns: Removes cooldowns
  • infiniteAp: Your actions cost 0 AP
  • infiniteMemory: You get over 9000 memory
  • think on/off: Enables or disables the scripts of AI characters/items, excluding players
  • setHPPercentage : The selected character’s health will be set to the specified percentage
  • charm %character or item name%: The currently selected character is enchanted by the item/character in the parameter
  • setCanFight true/false: The selected character’s CanFight option is enabled or disabled. He still joins the fight, but takes no action.
  • setCanJoinCombat true/false: Enables or disables the selected character’s CanJoinCombot option.
  • setAlignment %alignmentID%: Changes the alignment of the selected character.
  • nearlyKill: Sets the selected character’s health to 1.
  • killArmor: Sets the character’s magical and physical armor to 0.
  • spawn item GLO_QA_Debug_Item: Spawns a debug book that lets you start Act 2 with a group setup.
  • levelup %amount%: Levels the entire party by %amount% level
  • unlockall: Unlocks all skills
  • maxout: Gives you level 27 and maxes out your stats
  • gold %amount%: Gives half of %amount% gold to both players
  • givetreasure %table_name%: Gives you all items from the specific loot table
  • addExp %amount%: Gives %amount% experience points to the selected character
  • magemana: Adds the maximum number of spell points to your character
  • givetreasure CheatBookselement: Obtain all skill books for the specified item
  • raiseTension: increases the tension in the game
  • Reset Crimes: Removes all your crimes and resets your previous crimes.
  • setWalkSpeedMultiplier %multiplier%: Multiplies your walking and running speed by the specified factor
  • loadlevel : Loads a specific level.
  • oe : Sends an Osiris TextEventSet event with as a parameter
  • teleport : Teleport to the specified character or item
  • teleportToMe %name%: Teleports a specified character to the currently selected character
  • goto xy: Teleports you to the specified xy coordinate
  • rps win/lose: Win/lose a CIR confrontation
  • shroud on/off: Turns Fog of War on/off
  • reloadScripts: Reloads the scripts
  • reloadStory: Reloads Osiris
  • statusapply : Gives a specified status effect and turn duration to a selected character
  • statusremove : Removes a specified status from a selected character
  • autoidentify on/off: Lets you see all magic items
  • think on/off: Activates/deactivates the AI โ€‹โ€‹of all NPCs
  • give : Moves a specified item from the game to your inventory
  • create : Creates an instance of a stat object in your inventory
  • setOffstage : Removed (raised OFFSTAGE flag) for a specific character or item.
  • charAmbientLight on/off: Enables or disables ambient light for the currently selected character
  • addDungeonMaster: Adds a player as dungeon master. He gets additional commands and abilities in a multiplayer game
  • removeDungeonMaster: Removes a player as Dungeon Master and removes the additional commands and abilities from them.
  • usecontroller: Switches control to controller mode
  • usekeyboard: Switches control to the mouse and keyboard
  • SetCaptureScale %amount%: Determines the scaling and the resolution of video recordings.
  • SetVideoCaptureFPS %amount%: Determines the target FPS number to take screenshots for video capture mode.
  • fps %value%: Sets the FPS to a specific value
  • show projectiles: Shows you debugging information for projectiles. Optional: client (only the client), server (only the server), %time% (for the specified time)
  • hide projectiles: Hides debugging information for projectiles
  • show crimes : Shows you debugging information for offenses. Optional: %index% (Shows you an index of your offenses with additional information)
  • hide crimes: hides the debugging information for offenses
