From all appearances, The Little Mermaid tells the core the same story as the great Disney role model. A little mermaid longs for the surface of the water, the land and the people, swaps her own voice for legs with a nasty witch and conquers the heart of a prince. So far, so good, after all, the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen is common property.
But that doesn’t mean you should cut corners on quality like The Asylum did with The Little Mermaid. The entire work looks like the cutscene of a computer game from the early 2000s. With mistakes. Why? In some scenes, does the heroine waft across the seabed without any water at all? Was there simply a lack of money and time for the animation?
