Che Guevaras son Camilo Guevara dies

It has been reported that Camilo Guevara (60), the son of the famous revolutionary leader Ernesto Che Guevara, died in Venezuela.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel announced on Twitter that Camilo Guevara has died. Diaz-Canel stated that they bid farewell to Camilo, Che’s son and supporter of his ideas, with deep sadness.

According to Cuban media, Camilo died of pulmonary embolism while visiting Venezuela.

Camilo Guevara March was one of four children born to Argentine-born revolutionary leader Ernesto Che Guevara from his marriage to his Cuban wife, Aleida March.

Camilo Guevara March, named after the Cuban revolutionary Camilo Cienfuegos, ran the Che Guevara Training Center in Havana, which showcases the thoughts and work of his father, a famous leader in the Cuban Revolution and in South America.

Che Guevara was shot dead by the military in Bolivia in 1967. Camilo was 5 years old when his father was killed at the age of 39. (AA)
