“I went home to play my ticket and when I revealed I won $100,000, I thought it was a joke. I screamed,” he said in a release.
Gatfield recently picked up his winnings at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. prize center in Toronto.
The win is still difficult to process, he said
“I just held my ticket and stared at it,” he said. “I told my mom and she was over the moon happy.
“It’s a very exciting feeling. I plan to take a nice vacation overseas. I don’t have any other plans yet.”
$5 Instant Plinko combines scratch play with prizes revealed in-store by an animated chip drop on the lottery terminal screen, and potentially, the chance to drop a chip on a real Plinko board at the OLG prize center.
The winning ticket was purchased at Queen’s Variety and Laundromat on Queen Street in Chatham.
