A Chatham man is charged with impaired driving and drug possession after an early morning traffic stop Friday.
A Chatham-Kent police officer stopped a vehicle on Michener Road in Chatham at about 1 am
The officer suspected the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters for testing.
During the arrest, the 38-year-old was also found to be in possession of suspected hydromorphine.
He was released with a short date.
