“The Spill Action Center is Aware and Two Downnstream Refineries have Dispatched Booms to Collect Downnstream Contamnants,” A Chatham-Kent Release Said.

“Although a notice has been put out by st. Clair Township, there is currently no concern for chatham-kent water as a result of the spill,” it added.

Suncor Said it was alerted as part of its regular monitoring thursday at about 1 pm about “a release of hydrocarbons,” postmedia reported.

The Source of the Release was identified and isolated and No Injuries we report, the Company Said

“Immediated Suncor Deployed Its Response Equipment, Including Booms and Vacuum Equipment, on the St. Clair River,” The Company Said. “We continue to work with local Organizations on our responsibility, who are Assting with Shoreline Assessment and Air Monitoring in the Vicinity.”
