The Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation benefit gala raised $133,068 for end of life care in the community.

“Our sincere thanks to all guests who attended and our kind sponsors for their support, especially our title sponsor, Victory Lincoln,” Ginny Hawken, the foundation’s special event chair, said in a release.
“Because of your generosity and kindness, local families will continue to have access to residential hospice care as well as grievance and bereavement support at no cost to them. A special thank you to our guest speaker, who graciously shared their family’s hospice journey, helping us all understand the difference you make by supporting the gala.”
Adding to Friday’s excitement was the Golden Ticket raffle, where 100 guests had the opportunity to win an experience from the silent auction and two tickets to next year’s gala.

The winner was Anne English, who selected the Toronto Maple Leaf package donated by Enbridge Gas. A returning contest, the Mittons Jewelers diamond draw, featured a diamond bracelet, which was won by Dawn Campbell.
Proceeds from the gala will cover operational costs for the 10-bed residential hospice, ensuring families have access to care at no cost.
It has been a busy few weeks for the organization, as the event is the latest of several hospice fundraisers this fall, including the auction for Taylor Swift tickets, as well as Hot Rods for Hospice in Ridgetown.
