Chatham-area hospital group adjusting holiday hours

Throughout the period, outpatient diagnostic tests will still take place, the hospital group said. Patients with scheduled diagnostic tests are advised to attend their appointments. Those departments will also be staffed to meet the needs of inpatients and emergencies.

Outpatient rehabilitation services at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will not be available from Dec. 23 to Dec. 27 or Jan. 1, but will resume on Jan. 2. That department will be staffed to meet the needs of inpatients.

The musculoskeletal rapid assessment clinic at the Chatham site will be closed Dec. 23 to Jan. 3, and will resume services on Jan. 6.

The transient ischemic attack and coronary artery disease clinics will be closed Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1, along with the diabetes education center.

The pulmonary function lab, Chatham and Wallaceburg sites, will be closed from Dec. 25, up to and including Jan. 1.

The Chatham-Kent outpatient mental health and addictions program will be closed on Dec. 25, 26, and Jan. 1. Note that on Dec. 24 and 31 the office will close at 4 pm

The rapid access to addiction medicine (RAAM) clinic, which operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, will be open Dec. 23, closed Dec. 25 and open Dec. 27.

The RAAM will close again on Jan. 1, and resume regular operations on Jan. 3. The RAAM clinic located at the Wallaceburg site, which operates every Tuesday, will be closed Dec. 24. For any immediate crisis, call the crisis line at 1-866-299-7447 or visit your nearest emergency room.

Outpatient lab services will be closed Dec. 25 and 26. The lab will close again Jan. 1, and will reopen Jan. 2.

The pre-surgical screening department will be closed Dec. 24, 25 and 26. It will reopen Dec. 27 and 30, and close again Jan. 1. The department will resume regular operations Jan. 2.

The patient appointment office will be closed on Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1. Health records will be closed those same days.

Elston Pharmacy, located at the Chatham site, will operate from 8 am to 2 pm Dec. 24, and will be closed on Dec. 25 and 26. The pharmacy will be open Dec. 27, 30 and 31. It will be closed again Jan. 1 and return to regular business hours Jan. 2.

The ambulatory care department in Chatham and Wallaceburg will be closed Dec. 25, 26 and Jan. 1, as will the oncology department.

The business office and cashier’s office will be closed Dec. 25, 26, and Jan. 1. There are two bill changers in the building to accommodate coin change.

Hemodialysis care will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The department will be open Dec. 22 and Dec. 29 to accommodate patient needs.

The emergency departments in Chatham and Wallaceburg are open 24 hours daily.
