Student year 3 • As a new student, it is completely impossible to get housing via regular queues, such as SSSB (Stockholms Studentbostäder) and Stockholms Bostadsförmedling. You must have several years in line. I stood in every possible queue I could find, and in one queue you had to write a personal message why you need student housing. I wrote that I simply have too far to go into Stockholm every day from where my parents live, and got a place right away, with a 35 min commute to the university. Very flexible though. Now I have just managed to get a second with my partner near the university, after 2 years in the student queue.
