SD is critical that the Tidö colleagues voted yes to the controversial “chat control” proposal.
– I think it’s dishonest, says Adam Marttinen (SD), who sits on the justice committee.
On Tuesday, the Justice Committee voted yes to the proposal, whose purpose is to prevent abuse of children – but which has been criticized for far-reaching restrictions on personal integrity.
SD, which voted against, is now sharply critical of the fact that the other Tidö parties approved the proposal.
– They accept the Belgian compromise proposal that contains an option to break encryption, says SD member Adam Marttinen.
In the revised proposal presented by Belgium, images must be able to be checked before they are encrypted. Adam Marttinen calls it a “back door”.
– You want to claim that you don’t break any encryption and can in a micro perspective say that you don’t. But the overall effect will be exactly the same, he says.
According to Marttinen, both M and L have indicated in the election campaign that they will not proceed with chat control.
– I think that is unfair to the voters, he says.
