Therese Johaug’s wedding is approaching.

– I’m getting nervous now, says Kalla in the “Winter Pass” podcast.
Charlotte Kalla and Therese Johaug are two great skiing legends. In their respective countries (Sweden and Norway) they are both highly regarded and popular figures, and were fantastic skiers during their careers.

For example, Kalla has three Olympic golds, three WC golds, and 15 wins in the World Cup. Johaugs, on the other hand, has four Olympic golds, 14(!) WC golds, and a whopping 79 wins in the World Cup. The Norwegian is seen as one of the best skiers of all time, which you can perhaps understand when you see her numbers.

The two former skiers faced each other many times during their careers, and it also happened that Kalla and Johaug trained together. The duo thus got to know each other well, and are today good friends. Charlotte was at Therese’s bachelorette party, for example.
And now the Norwegian’s wedding is approaching. Johaug marries his partner on New Year’s Eve Nils Jakob Hoffwith whom she has the daughter Kristin Hoff Johaug together with.
Before the wedding
In her podcast “Vinterpasset”, which she has together with Jonna Sundling, Elvira Öberg and Hanna ÖbergKalla tells us that there is one aspect of the wedding she is nervous about.
– I’m getting nervous now, because I’m reminded of how fast Norwegians talk and I had just repressed how little I actually understood of what they said at her bachelorette party in October. Her wedding is only a week or so away, so I get to brush up on my Norwegian skills, says Charlotte in the podcast.

It is something that makes the bride herself both surprised and makes her start laughing.
– No? We have to find a solution to that. We have to arrange a Swedish translation for her so that she can calm down a bit, says Johaug to Expressen.
