A few weeks ago revealed Charlotte Kalla the great news of joy for the Swedish people. The skiing star is pregnant and will become a mother for the first time in her life.
Kalla is pregnant
The Swedish skiing hero, who ended his successful career in the spring of 2022, announced on Instagram that she and her partner Fredrik Karlström are to become parents of a child who is expected to arrive in the summer.
“If everything goes well, the summer of 2023 will mean the biggest change of my life. We are going to be parents! We are happy, hopeful and happy even though it still feels very surreal. One step at a time towards something incredibly long-awaited, a dream I longed to experience!”, Kalla wrote in a post on social media.

The congratulations quickly poured in from other Swedish ski profiles and the news also quickly reached Norway. Where the outspoken skiing legend Peter Northug was quick to come up with a cheeky pregnancy joke for the Swede.
– Oh! Cool! But I’m not the father, the Norwegian told Expressen with a laugh.
– It’s just to congratulate Charlotte. And this is good news for Swedish skiing. We know that Therese Johaug will have a daughter – so now I hope that Kalla’s child will be the same gender. Then there could be a new era with duels between Johaug and Kalla!

Northug’s joke
Northug’s funny pass to Kalla attracted a lot of attention and now the 35-year-old is speaking out for the first time about the Norwegian’s unexpected words. Charlotte is very current with the TV show “Let’s Dance” right now and is very busy during the day.
