Charlotte Kalla has thanked for herself.
Now she reveals the wild party night with Therese Johaug.
– It was messy, she says in Värvet.

Charlotte Kalla is one of our greatest skiers of all time, and when she thanked for herself at the end of this season, she did so with huge awakenings and congratulations. But on the other side of the border to the west, Therese Johaug also ended her career, and there the celebration was at least as big.

Reveals the party night with Johaug

They were both bitter rivals during their careers, but have always shown tremendous set-up and respect for each other alongside the track. It was therefore a matter of course for Kalla to go to Oslo to take part in a surprise party in honor of the Norwegian, arranged by Johaug’s teammates.

It is in the podcast Värvet that Kalla gets the question when she was drunk last time, and she then answers that it had unforeseen consequences in the form of an illness.

– It was probably two and a half weeks ago. That was probably why I got sinusitis too. My body does not stand to be awake until half past four, she says, and continues:

– It was messy.

“It was worth it”

And the party in question thus touched Therese Johaug.

– I was actually in Oslo and was at a surprise party for Johaug that her teammates had arranged. Great fun to get the chance to pay tribute to her career as well. It was worth a sinusitis, says Kalla.

Therese Johaug also receives a real tribute to her former rival, who Kalla believes has made her better during her career.

– We have still had parallel careers. She is a year younger than me, so the first time we met was at the World Cup in Sapporo in 2007, so for many years she has been a great source of inspiration to train well and smartly.
