Therese Johaugs news that she is resuming her career and aiming for the home WC in Trondheim next year did not come as a big surprise to Charlotte Kalla.
– No, but I have understood that it was not an easy decision for her. It couldn’t have been easy, I know that it takes a lot of training to reach the level I think she wants to be at, says Kalla.
– It will be super exciting to see the venture and I wish her all the best. She is a fantastic skier and person.

Johaug completed his career in 2022 and gave birth to daughter Kristin last year. Since then, she has competed in long-distance races and in the Norwegian championships, and that’s when the craving for the big skiing scene came back.
Charlotte Kalla also ended her career in 2022 and has also become a mother. In addition, she has competed in the Relay Vase.

But following Johaug fully and making a comeback in the context of the national team is out of the question, she says.
– No, I haven’t felt any desire for it since I put the skis on the shelf. I am happy to be a supporter, says Kalla.
