Charlotte Kalla about the new big investment together with Jonna Sundling and the Öberg sisters: “Very funny”

Charlotte Kalla ended her skiing career in 2022.
Now she talks about the new venture – together with three other skiing stars.
– We have a lot to learn from each other, says Kalla to DN.

It was after the SM competitions in Piteå 2022 that Charlotte Kalla ended his professional skiing career. Since then, the ski icon has, among other things, appeared in TV4’s Let’s Dance and had her first child, son Alvin.

Called novelty

In addition, her autobiography “Shame on those who give” was released just over a week ago. But Kalla is already getting ready for the next venture. And it will take place together with his former colleague, also the cross-country skier Jonna Sundling28. The biathlon stars Hanna Öberg28, and Elvira Öberg24, are also on the train.

The quartet will get together and start a brand new podcast. The podcast has been named “Vinterpasset”, and is made together with their manager and press officer Kjell Eriksson. Eriksson has previously done several radio programs, was a program host and wrote the autobiography Kjell.
– The idea is that we will release an episode every week, it will be a new thing for me but I think it will be rewarding. We will not only talk about what happens behind the scenes, but also touch on topics that can be connected to being both cross-country skiers and biathletes, says Hanna Öberg about the podcast to DN.

The Öberg sisters

Elvira Öberg wants to be a role model for young people, especially young girls, and hopes the podcast reaches that target group.
– It’s not necessarily that we are four women, but we have a lot of experience and a lot of knowledge in many subjects. Everything from how to handle pressure around a competition and how to be influenced by social media to how to get enough energy. I want to show that you don’t necessarily have to be a guy to be a sports star and make a living from your sport, she says to the daily newspaper.

As the only one not yet active, Charlotte Kalla can bring a lot of experience from her long, fine career.
– It feels very funny that we are four girls doing this together, and also that we cross the boundaries of sports. The mix of the four of us feels very good, and I think we have a lot to learn from each other. We have all achieved success and can reflect ourselves in each other, but at the same time we have got there in different ways, says Kalla.
