Charges laid against Brantford man after collision

A 24-year-old Brantford resident is facing charges following a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday.

Haldimand OPP responded to the crash on Highway 6, near Caledonia at about 4 p.m.

Police say after the collision, the driver and passenger of one of the vehicles ran from the scene. Minor injuries were reported.

Both people were located, and one was taken into custody.

The accused has been charged with assault, dangry operation, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, fail to comply with probation order, and failure to stop after accident.

The accused remains in custody and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on July 30.
