According to the indictment, the suspected 57-year-old man came to the police station in Norrköping armed with a knife and a bag with 14 PET bottles filled with petrol. The man was refused entry and then attacked a plainclothes police officer. A man who tried to repel the attack was also injured.
– One of the plaintiffs suffered life-threatening injuries after the knife attack, but both plaintiffs are doing well under the circumstances. It is an act of insanity that could have ended much worse than it did, says District Attorney Lisa Hedberg in a press release.
